If I am exposed to Ebola and quarantined what will my international medical insurance cover?

You may be covered if you have to be quarantined due to Ebola.

Policies can provide coverage for cancellation and interruption due to you or your traveling partner or family member being quarantined. If the need for quarantine affects your trip, Trip Interruption coverage may be available to cover the cost to catch up to your trip once you have been cleared to travel. Also, coverage may also be available through the Trip Cancellation provision of your policy if you are required to cancel your trip due to the quarantine.

Policies that offer this type of coverage will list “Quarantine” as a covered reason under the policy’s Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption benefit.

Coverage is subject to change as conditions related to Ebola change.
